DOA Officers Conduct Quarantine Surveillance Visit to Simalau Nursery
On 7 July 2025, six officers from the Sarawak Department of Agriculture (DOA) visited the Group’s Simalau Nursery for a Post-Entry Quarantine Surveillance on seeds from Peninsular Malaysia. They were welcomed by Simalau Estate Manager Mr. Chan Kwan Seng and Census Executive Mr. Wilson Manjan, briefed on nursery operations, and given a short tour of the Pre-Nursery and Main Nursery.
The visit aimed to ensure regulatory compliance and provide guidance. The officers also shared updates on a new, more aggressive Rhinoceros Beetle species currently under study. Before leaving, they inspected the newly sown seeds and engaged in a brief Q&A session.
