Self Defense Training

In view of the rising local crime rates and the lack of awareness and concern shown from general public towards victims of crimes, a self-defense training titled “Essential Self Defense Techniques, Crime Awareness & Personal Safety” was organized for the benefit of the Group’s staff.

In the training, participants learnt how to: –

  • Be more aware of their surroundings where potential danger or threat lurks;
  • Take preventive measures against potential danger or threat;
  • Be prepared both mentally and physically on how to react when attacked or threatened;
  • Have more self-confidence to counter the danger or threat.

The physical self-defense techniques applied in the training are based on the martial art Jujitsu. The training was conducted by a highly experienced and well-qualified instructor who has a Black Belt in Jujitsu. He was assisted by two Certified Assistant Facilitators.
