Seminar On Pesticides

A half day seminar ‘Seminar On Pesticides’ was held on 15 June 2017 at the Group’s auditorium in Sibu by the Pesticides Control Division Sarawak. The participants consisted of 28 staff from Sibu Office and 50 staff from the sites.

The main objective of holding this seminar is to increase both the participants’ awareness on pesticides and their knowledge on pesticides control.

Topics covered in the seminar included:

1) Overview of Pesticides Act & Regulations 1974
2) Safe Storage and Handling of Pesticides
3) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Pesticide Handlers
4) Triple Rinsing Procedure

The seminar was followed by a Q&A session and the presentation of mementos to the speakers.
