On 11 May 2026, the Group’s Sustainability Department and Hariyama Plantation organised a CSR Environmental Awareness and Recycling Programme at SK Sungai Pinang in collaboration with the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sibu and the school.
The programme attracted 126 participants, comprising NREB officers, teachers, students and estate staff. Activities included an environmental awareness session, a quiz on the 5R Concept (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose), a colouring contest, and the presentation of a CSR contribution to the school.
The programme successfully fostered greater environmental awareness among students while reinforcing Hariyama Plantation’s commitment to sustainability and community development. It also strengthened collaboration between Hariyama Plantation, SK Sungai Pinang and NREB Sibu in promoting responsible waste management practices, reducing environmental impact, and building a healthier and more sustainable community.
